WAFX is seeking an experienced Functional SAP Consultant to join our BTP (Business Technology Platform) Factory team. This role will be instrumental in building functional specifications and coordinating testing processes for SAP BTP applications. The consultant will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the seamless development, integration, and testing of SAP interfaces. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with a strong understanding of SAP modules, interface testing, and BTP-specific functionality.

Key Responsibilities

1. Functional Specification Development

   • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements for SAP BTP applications.
   • Develop detailed functional specifications that outline the requirements, workflows, and data integrations for SAP BTP solutions.
   • Ensure specifications are clear, comprehensive, and align with overall business objectives and technical standards.

2. Interface Testing Preparation and Execution

   • Create test plans and scenarios for validating SAP interfaces, ensuring they meet functional requirements.
   • Collaborate with development teams to understand and test the integrations between SAP BTP and other SAP modules (e.g., ECC, S/4HANA) and third-party applications.
   • Execute tests, document results, and troubleshoot any issues, coordinating with developers to resolve integration challenges.

3. End-to-End Quality Assurance

   • Oversee and coordinate end-to-end testing, validating that interfaces function correctly within SAP BTP applications.
   • Identify potential performance issues, interface errors, and data discrepancies, ensuring high quality and reliability in the final output.
   • Work with the QA team to manage regression tests and system improvements as needed.

4. Documentation and Reporting

   • Maintain detailed documentation for all functional specifications, test cases, and testing results.
   • Provide regular progress reports, identifying key risks, solutions, and updates to stakeholders and the project manager.
   • Develop user guides and training materials to facilitate knowledge transfer to end-users and support teams.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or related field.
• Experience:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Functional SAP Consultant, with a focus on creating functional specifications and testing SAP interfaces.
  • Proven experience working on SAP BTP or similar SAP cloud platform projects.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP modules such as ECC, S/4HANA, and SAP Fiori.
• Technical Skills:
  • Strong understanding of SAP BTP functionalities, data integration, and interface testing.
  • Familiarity with testing tools and methodologies, particularly for SAP environments.
  • Knowledge of ABAP and SAP middleware (SAP PI/PO or similar) is a plus.
• Soft Skills:
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a strong ability to work within cross-functional teams.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized, with effective problem-solving abilities.
